Saved by the Dragon by Vivienne Savage is about Chloe Ellis. She recently broke up with her narcissistic boyfriend and she wants to get away from him and everything. When she said goodbye to her roommate Marcy to go hiking and rock climbing, she had no idea that her life was going to change. Chloe had an accident in which she hurtled down the mountain and hurt her ankle; she had no idea how to save herself when a torrential rainstorm came beating down on her.
Just when she thought she would die, a handsome stranger named Saul rescues her and takes her to an intricate system of caves that protects them from the storm outside. As it turns out, the handsome stranger is no stranger to these caves. He has a secret and, when it comes out, Chloe will have to decide if it is worth it to stay in an enclosed cave with a stranger who can end her life with a simple snap of his claw!
Saved by the Dragon is an amazing start of a series that is bound to be a huge success. Granted, the story is short, but it has well rounded characters that never let you feel that you reading a novella. A combination of myth and legend makes a potent mix for readers who love a great suspense. I will say no more because of spoilers. I will not reveal the mystery. You will have to read it and find out for yourself. The fantastic elements of the novel were spot on. A great novella that fulfills you entirely. I cannot wait for the next novels in the series. Deserves five stars!

A very good read and intriguing characters!

I really liked these stories, which is surprising because it's usually a hit or miss sort of thing with these types of dragon-shifter romances for me. Chloe and Saul just did it for me from the beginning of when they first met. After that it was pure magic and I was instantly taken along for the ride. At first I didn't like Teo and thought Marcy could have done better, but by the middle of the last book, he kind of grew on me. It also helped to have the chapters from Saul's and Teo's points of view at the end of each book, although it was a little irksome to have the first Saul POV cut of in the middle even though you know how it'll play out. I must also point out that the plot was cohesive and there were no grammatical mistakes to pull me out of the flow of the story. I hate those types of things, although I can overlook such if the story is good enough. Anyway, these books were so good that I want to find more for this world to see what else Chloe, Saul, Teo, and Marcy might do next. Also the backstory characters, like Liev, Mahasti, or Teo's and Saul's mothers, are starting to get their own storylines too. I can't wait to read about them either!

Loved Loved by the Dragon

It grabbed my attention and I read late into the night, every night, until I finished all three books. I did not read any others until I finished. Usually I read other books at the same same time, how many depends on what I am doing while I read, or on how bored I feel, I flip between books as my mood changes. To me this was a good story. No glaring rhetoric errors to irritate me into highlighting and correcting them. it was fun to read., and I recommend reading it.

Feel kind of blase

I am a huge fan of dragon shifter romances so when I saw this one for free I thought I'd scored big. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The 1st 2 books were based around one couple and the 3rd was another couple. So basically, the 1st was a cliff hanger (and a poorly executed one at that). This trio merely solidified my belief that some cliffhangers are just the author showing laziness in their publishing. This author could have just released the entire story at one time, but chose to break it up. To me, it screams greediness.
I wasn't wow'd by the writing style by the author. Her ability to draw me in and paint the pictures needed for me to truly love her characters was lacking. Add in the slight editing issues and you've got a mediocre book, and that's me being kind. I would have given the book 2 stars if not for the cover and the premise.
Now, while others may love this book are entitled to their opinions, I would just say it didn't work for ME.
